    Adams Spanish Immersion Magnet  K-6   --  Adams Spanish Immersion is a K-6 elementary school that educates Spanish dominant, English dominant, and bilingual speakers. Adams challenges students by using language-centered, immersion instruction in all subject areas.
    American Indian Magnet  preK-6   --  The American Indian Magnet School builds an active community of learners through a focus on core values including respect, gratitude, humility, cooperation and environmental responsibility. Teachers work together to use the best educational methods to help all students achieve and perform at high levels.
    Ames Elementary  preK-6   --  Ames Elementary is a neighborhood school on the East Side of Saint Paul, located at White Bear Avenue and Ames Place. In addition to its historical building, the grounds include a community garden and a pergola that is used as an environmental learning center. Ames reading, mathematics, science, music and art instruction programs prepare students, PEK through sixth grade, to be independent thinkers who live and contribute to a global society. 
    Benjamin E. Mays International Magnet School (International Baccalaureate/Primary Years Programme)  K-6   --  At Benjamin E. Mays International Magnet School, your child's "future begins with us!"  We are proud to be an authorized International Baccalaureate/Primary Years Programme.  This authorization recognizes us as a "World School," which aims to develop international-minded students who are inquirers, knowledgeable, and caring.  The IB/PYP also strives to help students to become sensitive to the points of view of people around the world. 

    Chelsea Heights Elementary  preK-6   --  Chelsea Heights Elementary School, nestled in the northwest corner of the city, believes all children can learn and achieve success.  The school’s curriculum incorporates experiences that build students’ skills in critical thinking, problem solving, questioning strategies, reasoning, creative expression and imagination.
    Cherokee Heights West Side School of Excellence  preK-6   --  Cherokee Heights Elementary enriches each student and embraces the many cultures of St. Paul. Students are nurtured and challenged intellectually, emotionally and physically in our pre-kindergarten through 6th grade program. Teachers work in teams with an emphasis on Writer's Workshop, Reader's Workshop and Everyday Math. These academic programs are based on the Project for Academic Excellence (PAE) model, which focuses on meeting high standards in literacy and math. Teachers also integrate technology throughout the curriculum.
    Crossroads Montessori Citywide Option  preK-6   --  Crossroads Montessori features an individualized approach to education.  Students learn how to become self-directed learners and independent thinkers. Precisely designed Montessori materials help students learn and lead to deeper understandings of concepts in all subject areas. Multi-age classrooms promote collaboration and a family-like atmosphere.

    Crossroads Science Citywide Option  preK-6   --  Crossroads students are engaged in an “inquiry” approach to learning concepts through hands-on investigations.  Students take part in choosing how they best learn content.  Across disciplines, students are encouraged to ask questions, build investigations and demonstrate learning to peers.
    Crosswinds Arts and Science School  6-10   --  Crosswinds Arts and Science School is a year-round magnet school serving students in grades 6-10. Our rigorous academic International Baccalaureate model integrates arts and science into all subject areas and emphasizes hands-on, group work that helps students connect what they are learning to the world beyond school.
    Four Seasons A+ Elementary- Citywide Option  preK-6   --  Four Seasons A+ Elementary was Saint Paul’s first year-round school. The school’s academic program is based on the A+ Model, in which teachers teach and students learn by using arts-integrated instruction. This approach uses creative, hands-on experiences in music, dance, drama and visual arts to help students connect the arts to other subjects and to allow them to demonstrate what they are learning in multiple ways.
    Frost Lake Magnet School of Technology and Global Studies  K-6   --  Frost Lake Magnet School prepares its students to live in and contribute to today’s global world. Teachers use a variety of teaching strategies to maximize student achievement, self-esteem, and higher order thinking skills.
    Galtier Science and Mathematics Technology Magnet  preK-6   --  At Galtier Magnet School the academic program focuses on developing excellent mathematicians and scientists skilled in using technology as a key learning tool. Students learn critical-thinking skills through hands-on learning activities.
    Groveland Park Elementary  K-6   --  Groveland is best known for its high student achievement, quality teaching, strong sense of community, volunteer involvement and commitment to all students. Groveland’s students consistently score above the district average in yearly assessments, and approximately 75 percent of the school’s teachers hold master’s-level degrees or higher.
    Hancock-Hamline University Collaborative Magnet  K-6   --  Hancock/Hamline University Collaborative Magnet School believes the path to college begins in kindergarten. Each grade level, paired with a different Hamline University department, ensures elementary students a variety of university experiences. In addition, Hancock students benefit from help provided by Hand-in Hand mentors, America Reads and America Counts tutors, student teachers, and guest speakers.
    Harambee Community Cultures/ Environmental Science School Magnet  K-5   --  Harambee Community Cultures/Environmental Science School is a year-round magnet school serving students in kindergarten through 5th grade. All Harambee classrooms are team-taught, multiage environments in which we work hard to create a unique, exciting, and effective learning experience for our students.
    Hayden Heights Elementary  preK-6   --  Hayden Heights Elementary School serves students from age four through grade six. Located on the East Side of Saint Paul, the school brings together the best of a neighborhood school and a rigorous academic program that meets the individual needs of each student.
    Highland Park Elementary Citywide Option  K-6   --  Highland Park Elementary is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP). At the heart of PYP is a commitment to structured inquiry as a vehicle for learning.
    Highwood Hills Elementary  preK-6   --  Highwood Hills is a diverse neighborhood school located on Saint Paul’s East Side. Students are required to wear uniforms at this school. Highwood Hills features an extensive literacy center; a faculty trained through the University of Minnesota in the area of reading utilizing Reading Excellence and Reading First grants; and language academy classes for students that need additional language skills.
    Horace Mann School  K-6   --  Horace Mann School is a K-6 elementary school located in Saint Paul’s Highland Park community. The school is known for academic excellence and personal development focused on individual students.
    J. J. Hill Montessori Magnet  preK-6   --  J.J. Hill Montessori Magnet currently serves over 450 students using an individualized learning approach in a collaborative environment, in accordance with Maria Montessori's educational philosophy. Students develop creative, critical and higher order thinking skills, and problem-solving strategies. Students learn in non-competitive, multi-grade classrooms using precisely designed Montessori learning materials.
    Jackson Preparatory Magnet  preK-6   --  Jackson Magnet School prepares students to be critical, creative, constructive and compassionate thinkers. Students from any home in Saint Paul can attend Jackson. The school’s core belief is that children come first.
    Linwood A+ Elementary  K-8   --  Arts plus academics equal success at Linwood A+ Elementary School. The program at Linwood is based on the A+ Model, which features daily arts instruction in music, visual art, drama and dance. Students demonstrate their learning through the arts.
    Longfellow Humanities Magnet  preK-6   --  Longfellow is a quality school, with a well-established history of providing a world-class education through the study of humanities. Longfellow teachers use a humanities-based framework that incorporates world cultures and the American experience.
    Maxfield Magnet School of Academic Excellence  preK-6   --  Maxfield Magnet School is a vibrant learning environment that offers a world of opportunities academically and socially. Located in the Midway/Frogtown area, Maxfield Magnet School serves learners in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. The school offers a unique educational experience which combines best practices in academics with a focus on the urban learner.
    Mississippi Creative Arts Magnet  K-6   --  Mississippi Creative Arts Magnet is one of the first and finest creative arts elementary schools in Saint Paul. The school is known for its emphasis on the arts combined with a strong academic core.

    Open School- Magnet  K-12   --  Open School's progressive programs are rooted in  the tenets of open and constructivist education and self-directed learning. The district's only K-12 school, Open's academic program is designed for self-motivated and independent learners who want a family-like environment.
    Phalen Lake Elementary  preK-6   --  Phalen Lake Elementary’s rigorous Core Knowledge academic program closely matches the Minnesota Academic Standards and is a school reform model described nationally as gifted education for all. The Core Knowledge program offers multiple ways for students to learn by blending history, geography, science, and the arts.
    Riverview West Side School of Excellence  K-6   --  All educational activities at Riverview West Side School of Excellence are designed for K-6 students around the Success For All reading curriculum and MathWings math curriculum.  The Dual Immersion, currently a K-1 program, will become a K-2 program in 2006-2007 and will eventually expand to K-6 by adding one grade per year.
    Roosevelt West Side School of Excellence  K-6   --  Roosevelt Elementary Magnet, a K-6 school, concentrates on the core instructional areas of reading, writing, mathematics and science. Roosevelt provides a quality, caring environment for its entire student population using the Responsive Classroom™ model. Roosevelt’s mission is that all students will read at or above grade level by the end of third grade.
    St. Anthony Park Elementary  K-6   --  St. Anthony Park Elementary is a neighborhood school located just west of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. MCA test scores are above the state average. Our enrichment model reaches the entire student body with state-of-the-art computer technology to reinforce core curriculum. We provide specialists in technology, art, physical education, vocal music, and inquiry science.
    Webster Magnet  K - 6   --  Webster Magnet Elementary is a school on the rise, changing to meet the needs of our students.
