Kindergarten Orientation
Weds., April 23, 2008
4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

North End Elementary is a Pre-K-6th grade program that emphasizes mentoring urban learners to become our future leaders.  The school core belief is that every student has the ability to learn if given the opportunity.

We utilize the “Success for All” reading program, which is a research-based curriculum that ensures every child can and will learn.  The “Everyday Math” curriculum is instructed for a minimum of 60 minutes each day, which includes flexible grouping to make sure all students grasp the daily objectives.

North End offers a safe, nurturing environment where students will learn and reach their maximum potential.  Our school encourages parental involvement and seeks partnerships with our students, families and community.  North End truly believes it takes a village to raise a child.

Throughout the 2008-2009 school year North End will implement gender-specific classes for Grades K-3.  Grades 4-6 will remain co-ed in 2008-09. However, one grade will be added each year starting 2009-2010 until all classes are gender specific by 2011-12.
