Maxfield Magnet School is a vibrant learning environment that offers a world of opportunities academically and socially. Located in the Midway/Frogtown area, Maxfield Magnet School offers a unique educational experience that combines best practices in academics with a focus on the urban learner.

Teachers are trained through the Project for Academic Excellence and provide our students a great springboard for academic rigor and social responsibility. Our teachers are well-versed in teaching culturally responsive curricula that meets the high Minnesota and National standards.

We place great emphasis on rigor and critical thought and solidify our instructional efforts through collaboratives with the University of Minnesota Mathematics department, Bethel University, University of St. Thomas and Walker-West Music Academy.

Our specialty areas include science, global studies and physical education. We cherish our families and community partners and seek to include them in all aspects of our instructional practices.

Maxfield Magnet School offers on-site comprehensive dental health services to its students through its partnership with Children's Dental Services of Minneapolis.
