Four Seasons A+ Elementary was Saint Paul’s first year-round school. The school’s academic program is based on the A+ Model, in which teachers teach and students learn by using arts-integrated instruction. Highwood Hills is a diverse neighborhood school located on Saint Paul’s East Side. Students are required to wear uniforms at this school. Highwood Hills features an extensive literacy center; a faculty trained through the University of Minnesota in the area of reading utilizing Reading Excellence and Reading First grants; and language academy classes for students that need additional language skills.

North End Elementary is a Pre-K-6th grade program that emphasizes mentoring urban learners to become our future leaders. As of the 2008-2009 school year, North End implemented boys and girls university academies that are gender-specific for Grades K-3; Grades 4-6 will be integrated with one grade added each year starting in 2009-2010 until all classes are gender specific by 2011-12.
All educational activities at Riverview West Side School of Excellence are designed for K-6 students around a standards-based curriculum in reading writing and math that provides an integrated approach to education to balance students' learning experiences with their stage of development. The Dual Immersion, currently a K-4 program, will eventually expand to K-6 by adding one grade per year.
